POLES ARE ALREADY CHOSEN FROM THE FOREST

Due to its density, slow-growing Finnish wood is the best possible raw material for poles. Owing to its service life and freedom from maintenance, it is also an economical alternative. The selection of poles already takes place during the harvesting phase in the forest, from which straight, tall and sparsely branched trunks end up as poles. For decades, Versowood has delivered high-quality electricity and telephone poles for variable climates and conditions including deserts, plains, frost, rain and heat.

Safe poles

Versowood's patented Safepole is a weatherproofed wooden pole which is hollow at the bottom. Under impact, it breaks and yields. It is possible to install braking equipment inside the Safepole, which prevents complete breakage and the pole falling on road-users. The brake-equipped Safepole has been developed for road areas where there are fixed obstacles or paths for light traffic in the vicinity of the roadway. Made of wood, the Verso-Safepole is suitable in appearance for the landscape, easy to erect, and it can be climbed by means of climbing irons.

Barrier posts

Special durability is required from barrier posts in, for instance, elk barriers erected at the sides of roadways. Lathed for equal strength throughout, salt-impregnated barrier posts also withstand demanding conditions year after year-without becoming waterlogged and suffering decay. Available in many special dimensions, installation of these fence posts is easy and the need for maintenance is minimal.
